Kick In The Head!
Our baby seems to be taking a page out of our karate class (yes, I still go, but the classes are obviously modified).
Last night PreZ decided to see if he could actually hear the baby's heartbeat. On one of the pregnancy sites that we track weekly development on, it had said that around week 24 you can start to possibly hear that from the outside. I'm 22 weeks, but that didn't deter PreZ.
So he spent about 15-20 minutes with his head lying on my belly, and the baby kept kicking him in the ear. It was really amusing to hear a smirk or giggle coming from PreZ every time he got punched or kicked upside the head.
Needless to say, he didn't hear the baby's heartbeat though, only mine, which isn't a hard thing to do... with the increased blood volume in my body and the obvious extra blood needs in the abdominal area, my belly sometimes actually throbs visibly with the blood coursing through it, it's quite weird.
Today I had heartburn all day, which was fun. Mild, but still annoying. And this was before I even endeavoured to eat anything... so we had pizza for dinner, I mean, I already had heartburn, it's not like it would make any difference really...
