Systems Are Go

So it looks like things are getting going.

I woke up this morning at about 7.45 because I was too crampy to sleep. Menstrual type crampy, not a kind of crampy you feel often for the 9+ months of pregnancy. For something to wake me up at that time after I'd been awake until 5am, it had to be fairly ouchy, seeing as at that point I would have been sleeping like the dead. Half an hour later when his alarm went off I told PreZ that he would probably want to work from home today, because while at the time I wasn't entirely sure that things were happening, I felt that they were probably on the cards for (later) today.

Not long after that I went to the bathroom where I promptly lost my mucous plug and broke my water. The midwife has been called and notified, and I need to start tracking when I have contractions, and maybe drinking some herbal teas. She'll be calling me again around 3-4pm, unless things start moving faster and I call her first. She told me to go get some rest too, as lack of sleep can possibly slow things down, but the cramping and stuff is bad enough that I wouldn't be able to sleep through it, as much as I'd like to.
