Week 41 Belly Shot
It's a very strange sensation from having had a hard belly these last months to having a really soft and squishy belly again. The first day post-partum if I laid on my back and felt my tummy it felt a bit like having a hole inside, because I could feel the uterus had shrunken down substantially, but the organs were still in such a way as to accommodate something bigger.
I will say that it's nice to once again have a view of anything below the navel and above the mid-thigh region, as well as being able to bend over properly and stuff to do such simple things as easily get into underwear and socks, clip toenails, and all those little things you take for granted. And it's nice to be able to hug PreZ and not be a foot or so away from him with the belly in between.
