Coherency Is A Miracle Right Now

This morning I awoke to two little hands grabbing at my face insistently. After hoping in vain that he'd fall asleep again (hahahaha, yeah, right) and trying to ignore it for about 10-15 minutes due to sheer exhaustion, I finally gave in... his nails are sharp again as well (those things grow like weeds), so I couldn't take much more of it.

I peeled off his nighttime diaper and put him on the floor for some nekkid-ass floor time and the first thing the little energizer bunny does is roll from back to front and straight through to back again, all whilst cooing/squealing with laughter.

Silly little sausage.

I was surprised to see him roll from stomach to back again though. Ever since he caught on to how to roll from his back to his stomach he seems to have forgotten the one he learned first. And after flipping himself from back to front he will just lie there on his front until he starts getting annoyed and starts getting vocal about just how annoyed he is.

I also think he's been having his 6 month growth spurt (early) all week. He's been awake to eat every 1-2 hours all night for the past 4 or 5 or so nights (and then there are the frequent day feedings). To say I'm shattered doesn't begin to cover it. Man, I can't wait until his next nap. It's a complete waste of a day, but it's gotten to the point where I think today might be spent in the pursuit of enough sleep. Thankfully, aside from two phonecalls, I got all of the other pressing matters I needed to see to this week out of the way.
